Specific objectives:
 

- To contribute to the efficiency, efficacy and response capacity of the emergency services (EMS) within the primary health care centres and temporary emergency units located in the South Region along the Ionian Coast of Albania and thus addressing inequality in public health care and social service provision;
 

- To ensure access and delivery of quality of EMS for affected population;
 

- To scale up health services preparedness and response capacity through efficient and running facilities (health facility restored with equipment and supplies);

- To strengthen early warning diseases surveillance, information management and epidemic response.

Main activities:
 

- Need assessment of the interested care centres to identify the specific needs and requirements for improving emergency medical services;
 

- Technical Assistance and Training by providing support and expertise to ensure the effective development and implementation of standardized protocols for emergency medical services;

- Acquisition and deployment of medical equipment and renovation of infrastructure to improve the quality of care, the responsiveness and the efficiency of the targeted health institutions;

- Communication and dissemination to effectively share information, raise awareness, and promote the project's outcomes.
